The new Tiger Bridge 5.1 release comes with enhancements to better meet security and compliance requirements via even more data integrity mechanisms, and to ensure data continuity without the long wait times associated with traditional file scanning methods.
Release highlights include:
Persistent file track database for large data sets
Persistent file track database ensures faster startup of Tiger Bridge service across reboots, dramatically reducing replication time in file-intensive industries, where file scanning may otherwise take up to days. With this new feature, if the database gets bigger than a certain threshold it will be stored on disk and will persist across reboots.
Compliance mode per source
It is possible to define a retention period during which replicated files cannot be deleted or modified. In case versioning is enabled, modifications are possible, and they result in new versions. This control mitigates risks associated with accidental loss or unauthorized alterations, enhances data security, and streamlines governance practices.
Checksum generation for newly replicated files
Checksum generation makes it possible to compare files on-premises vs the cloud to verify that the data hasn’t been changed upon file upload, retrieval or at rest. This feature is especially relevant in industries such as Legal or Security, where data needs to be used as court evidence, or to meet regulatory requirements.
Other enhancements
The new 5.1 release also includes several advancements related to synchronization, file system auditing, and replication troubleshooting, among others.
Additionally, it features minor UI updates and a restored option to directly replicate archive tiers.
